Nowadays almost all marketing happens on social media yet still some companies try to reach out through more traditional media like TV, Radio, print newspaper, etc.
No matter which channel you try to get your message trough, try to always have in mind the attention span of the younger generations if they are a part of your preferred customer group.
Marketing platforms as Instagram, Snapchat, Tik Tok, and Youtube are perfect mediums to reach out but have in mind these statistics next time your company creates an advertisement.
The average attention span of a Millennial is 12 seconds. For Gen Z it’s even lower.
So next time you create an image, a video or some other kind of lead generating material, do a check, seriusly with a timer. Can you grasp the whole message in that period of time? Will it be interesting enough for someone to press “read more” or engage with it? If not, maybe consider doing a remake of the material.
